After seven incredible years, our managers Lucile and Tim decided it was time to move on to new adventures. During their time with us, they brought extraordinary care and passion to MOTU — helping to transform it into one of Rarotonga’s best loved resorts. They leave a legacy of outstanding service and we know they will be missed.
With change comes new beginnings, and we’re thrilled to introduce our new management couple, Amy and Claire, who have joined Mii and the rest of the team.
Having previously managed MOTU as relief managers, Amy and Claire are excited to make MOTU their permanent home and are committed to creating exceptional and memorable experiences for every guest.
INTRODUCING AMY
Amy descends from our village, Takitumu, and is a proud member of the Kainuku and Tangiiau-Crummer families. She brings a valuable mix of local insight and international experience to her role.
After spending time living in New Zealand and the UK, Amy returned to Rarotonga in 2012 to work in hospitality management, including time at the Pacific Resort where she met Claire, and running her own successful businesses in accommodation management and creative production.
Amy is well known on Rarotonga for her vivacious personality, warm heart, and creativity.
She is looking forward to enhancing MOTU’s guest experience with her passion for people, art, and food, as well as her extensive local knowledge.
INTRODUCING CLAIRE
Claire is an award winning hospitality manager with global experience and a passion for travel and culture.
Growing up in Melbourne and learning the ropes from her father who managed hotels and restaurants, Claire developed a strong foundation in operational excellence.
In 2013, she moved to Rarotonga for a working holiday, and quickly fell in love with the Cook Islands and its culture, making it her permanent home.
Claire’s career in Rarotonga includes managerial roles at Pacific Resort, Muri Beach Club and Cook Islands Tourism.
She has travelled extensively including through Central America, South East Asia, Europe and Africa. She looks forward to sharing her love for experiencing different countries and their cultures with our guests.
