Koka Lagoon Cruise
One of the most popular things to do in Rarotonga is to explore the lagoon on a glass bottom boat while being entertained by your guide’s local knowledge and ukulele playing. If you’d like to experience island dancing, Te Vara Nui offers dinner and a show, island style. Expect Maori legends brought to life through song and fire dancing over a buffet dinner, with a few laughs and some audience participation thrown in. Storytellers
For an outdoor activity that will get you off the beaten track, explore the island by bicycle with the help of a local guide. Cycle, learn, lunch and swim. Tours are priced at $75 each, call 23 450 or visit their website.
Brewery Tour
For a relaxed thing to do in Rarotonga, check out the home of our local beer at Rarotonga Brewery. Tours are free and very casual and are given Monday to Friday at 11am and 12pm, or sometimes if you just drop in and ask. The brewer will explain the process of making the beers, show you the brewing vats and give you some samples to try at their bar. It lasts about 20 minutes and is good fun. Call 26657 to book.
Tik-e Tours
